How long does a mobile windshield replacement take?
60–90 minutes on-site, plus a 60-minute safe-drive cure for the urethane. Chip and crack repairs run about 30 minutes. Most jobs are booked in the morning and closed before lunch.
Do I have to pay for a chip repair?
In most cases, no. Chip repairs are almost always zero-deductible under comprehensive insurance — we file the claim for you, and we've handled more than 100,000 of them since 1985. Even when not free, a resin-injection chip repair is far cheaper than a full replacement and stops the crack from spreading.
Do I need ADAS recalibration after a windshield replacement?
Yes, if your vehicle has lane-keep, automatic emergency braking or adaptive cruise control. The forward-facing camera mounted to the windshield shifts fractionally when the glass is replaced, and the system needs static and dynamic recalibration to manufacturer spec. We perform it on-site, included.
